One to One Tuition
Traditionally Yoga was taught on an individual basis and it is still seen as an important way to explore Yoga.
Viniyoga is a practical approach to yoga that encourages development of a person on a physical and mental/emotional level. Yoga is best taught adapted to each individual to assist and help in the following areas; flexibility, strength, clarity, to maintain overall good health and well-being.
Viniyoga provides the means to bring out the best in each individual. This requires an understanding of a person’s present condition, appropriate goals and the means available. As each person is different, these will vary with each individual. So an individual practice can be laid out for each student. Usually a practice will consist of yoga poses (asanas) and some breathing practices to start. The practice can be for whatever time you have in your day. Usually its best to start with a 10/15 min practice and grow from there.
An initial half-hour consultation, which is free, is advised to discuss your interests and needs.
Frequency of lessons:
Usually there is an agreement to meet for six sessions over a three month period. Three months will give you sufficient time to see the benefits that a tailored home practice can offer. After three months, you reassess with me. If you choose to continue, you usually come every four to six weeks but this can vary according to your progress and how you relate to the practice.
Each one to one session lasts for approximately one hour.
You may be suited to one to one tuition if:
* You are a current regular class yoga student who wishes to support and develop their own home practice.
* You find it difficult to commit to a regular group class due to life circumstances and commitments, such as work hours, study, distance etc.
* You suffer from specific problems, including stress, anxiety, chronic back/neck pain, breathing difficulty.
* You want to deepen your experience of yoga by having a regular practice.
All one to one students are welcome to attend any of my regular classes that is suited to their abilities free of charge.
One to one yoga classes are available in the comfort of your own home or at:
* Rathangan Community Centre, Co. Kildare
I cater for all levels and ages from beginners to advanced. I also do antenatal one to one yoga classes here. If you are interested in taking up yoga on a one to one basis please contact me for more details at email@example.com
If you are unable to attend a one to one session, please give me as much notice as possible.
Unfortunately, if I don’t receive at least 24 hours notice, you’ll be asked to pay for the session.
